This painting features a beautiful stretch of coastline in Narragansett, Rhode Island. There emerald sea lichens grow like soft velvet fur across the top of some rocks, while Ruby red seaweed covers the top of others. They’re joined together by a million shades of blue – from the air to the sea to the inlets and eddies that flow like a river into the channels of the heart.
