This Breaking Wave seascape painting features the shoreline off Newton Avenue in Narragansett, Rhode Island. In the distance is Beavertail on the left, and Brenton Point on the right.
I paint seascapes like this because I’m fascinated by the “Irresistible Force Paradox”, where an unstoppable force – the sea – meets an immovable object – the rocks. Both are indestructible, and yet both are changed every time they meet.
