by Charles C. Clear III

Walter Leslie Brian, better known as “Salty Brine”, was a well-known radio and television personality, and over the years became a cultural icon to generations of southeastern New Englanders.

This remarkable portrait of Salty Brine was created in 1990 for my ’40 Influential Rhode Islanders’ portrait exhibit at the East Concourse Gallery at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, Rhode Island.

This original hand-drawn portrait is available for purchase. Inquire for pricing.
