Helicopter Mural Saluting Alaska painted on sides of Helicopter by Artist Charles C. Clear III and Bonnie Lee Turner

Helicopter Mural Saluting Alaska, Painted on both sides of a Helicopter, 2007
Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, Oregon
by Charles C. Clear III and Bonnie Lee Turner

Evergreen Aviation commissioned this Helicopter Mural as a salute to Alaska and (the now late) Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens. The patriotic Helicopter Mural – which covers both sides of the helicopter – serves to highlight both Alaska and America. Featuring a bald eagle in front of the American flag, I replaced the blue of Old Glory with the State flag of Alaska, and then added a half-tone map of Alaska next to the text.

The helicopter is on permanent display at Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon.

I have painted Murals on cars, buses, trucks, and helicopters. Contact me if you would like a Mural painted on your favorite mode of transportation!
